Camps: Join the ZSA Juniors exciting and educational golf camps during school holidays and have a great time while developing your golf skills. F or ages 4 -13 years. Learn to Chip, Putt and Drive in our driving range and out on our shortgame practise areas. There will also be games and competitions throughout the day as well as technical focus on different aspects of golf.
Competitions play a vital role in the development of young golfers, providing them with opportunities to test their skills, gain experience, and enjoy the spirit of the game.
The club organises golf events such as the Half Term Junior Roll Ups allow junior players to practice and improve their abilities in a friendly, supportive environment.
We are excited to partner with both Surrey Golf Rookie Tour and the British Junior Golf Tour as we host the following Tournaments in 2025 giving young, enthusiastic players the opportunity to compete against peers, sharpen their competitive edge, and showcase their talent.
“The Surrey Rookie Tour was launched in 2007 to broaden the competitive experience of the Under 14 age group. Going strong for over 17 years and continues to be very popular with junior golfers in Surrey to this day. Surrey is at the pinnacle of junior golf in England, and to keep it there, we need to identify and develop our young talent, which was the driving force behind the creation of the Rookie Tour.
The Rookie Tour is open to both boys and girls aged 14 years and under, who are members of Golf Clubs affiliated to Surrey Golfr Surrey Women’s Golf, and who have an official WHS handicap index of 36.0 or below.
Many of the junior golfers that have come through the Rookie Tour have gone on to earn golf scholarships to colleges in the USA, with several players also going on to represent the England U18 girls’ and boys’ teams.
We are very proud of the success that the Rookie Tour has helped to create, and we are excited to watch the success of many more of our players in the future. ”
The British Junior Golf Tour (BJGT), a DP World Tour Approved Golf Development Programme, is dedicated to the development of junior golfers through events that provide the opportunity for boys and girls to play in age divisions, from age-appropriate yardages, against their peer groups, to maximise juniors’ potential to develop.
The BJGT is committed to supporting the next generation of golfers, some of whom may go on to reach the pinnacle of the sport.Many players, both boys and girls, who have gained valuable experience on the BJGT, have gone on to represent their national team at amateur level and in recent years they have been filtering through to the professional ranks and right to the very top, such as DP World Tour and PGA Tour player, and Rolex Series winner, Aaron Rai (BJGT Ambassador).
The Leatherhead Club Junior Annual Tournament also offers another fantastic opportunity for junior members to compete in a prestigious event and sportsmanship within the club. These competitions are essential for nurturing the next generation of golfers.

Lee Mackie is a dedicated PGA golf coach based in Surrey, having worked as a full time coach for 15+ years, Currently working with every level of golfer, professionals, weekend golfers, school teams and the Surrey county junior program and more.

Matt Edgar
Years of coaching children has given Matt the ability to make what can be a complex game seem very simple for people of all ages, helping everyone to enjoy and improve.
If coaching juniors or adults, Matt’s passion is taking new and improving golfers, at any stage of their golf, through every aspect of their game, so they have the understanding to lower their scores and handicaps.
Whether you want to join a golf club to gain a handicap and start competing, take a bit of money from your mates at the weekend, or be able to accept those invites to the work golf day, Matt will get your game where you want it to be.
Tom Parsons
Tom has been following a playing journey on clutch tour and europro tour. Previously coached one to ones and junior group coaching and with help from qualified PGA Coaches has managed to take on board essential knowledge for coaching.
In this time he has found a passion for working in golf thrived environments along side juniors and enjoyes every second of it.
Tom feels as if he has been playing golf for years now and hopes for a long and successful career, he will also use every bit of knowledge to provide the best and exciting coaching for juniors of all ages and abilities.
